Efectividad de diferentes diseños de línea de terminación para coronas total cerámica. Revisión sistemática

Resumen


Se han descrito diferentes tipos de líneas de terminación para coronas cerámicas, pero no hay un consenso definitivo en relación con la indicación del tipo de línea que demuestre mayor efectividad en el tratamiento restaurador. Esta investigación evaluó la efectividad, tanto a nivel preclínico como clínico, de diferentes diseños de líneas de terminación utilizados para el tallado de preparaciones dentales para coronas total cerámica, con respecto a la respuesta periodontal, adaptación marginal, satisfacción del paciente en relación con la estética y resistencia a la fractura. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura científica, siguiendo los lineamientos del protocolo PRISMA 2020. Los estudios fueron seleccionados bajo criterios de inclusión establecidos y sometidos a un proceso de evaluación de la calidad metodológica y de riesgo de sesgo. Se analizaron 7 artículos científicos que permitieron estudiar la efectividad de las líneas de terminación con la Técnica de Preparación Biológicamente Orientada (BOPT), hombro subgingival, hombro redondeado, chámfer, chámfer profundo y filo de cuchillo. Se observó para la primera una mejor respuesta periodontal y en la segunda una mayor adaptación. Los resultados indican que se requieren más estudios que permitan ampliar la muestra, para poder promover un tipo de línea de terminación específica para el tallado de preparaciones de coronas total cerámicas.
