INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA ELABORACIÓN DE ARTÍCULOS

1 Instrucciones

1.1 Tipos de Trabajos

•Revisiones: que compilen el estado del arte de un área especifica de la Ingeniería o Ciencias Aplicadas con un máximo de diez (10) páginas.
•Artículos de Investigación: inéditos de indudable aporte en ciencias aplicadas e ingeniería, con un máximo de quince (15) páginas.
•Notas Técnicas: contienen una contribución de menor extensión, con un máximo de tres (3) páginas.
•Comentarios: Sobre trabajos previamente publicados en la revista, con un máximo de una (1) página.

1.2 Estilo

Los trabajos pueden ser redactados en español o inglés.

El artículo original escrito con el procesador de texto Word 6 o superior, se ha de enviar a celismt@ula.ve con copia a revecien@ula.ve y revecien@gmail.com

La primera página debe contener:

•  Título del trabajo en español e inglés.
• Apellido(s) y Nombres(s) del autor(es), filiación institucional (nombre de la institución, ciudad y país), correo electrónico.
• Resumen en español e inglés, con un máximo de trescientas (300) palabras para artículo inédito y revisiones y ciento cincuenta (150) palabras para notas técnicas.
• De tres (3) a cinco (5) palabras claves en español e inglés.

El papel debe ser tamaño carta y los márgenes superior e inferior deben ser de 2.5 cm, el interior de 2.5 cm y el exterior de 1.5 cm, es decir, el área de texto debe ser de 17.59 cm de ancho por 22.94 cm de alto.

Las páginas no deben numerarse, el texto debe escribirse en doble columna (8.54 cm de ancho por columna y 0.5 cm de separación entre ellas) y los títulos, el resumen y el abstract en una sola columna.

El artículo debe escribirse con letra Times New Roman tamaño 10 con interlineado sencillo. El título en español e inglés, centrado, en tamaño 18 y usando mayúsculas y minúsculas. El nombre y dirección de los autores en tamaño 10, negrilla, centrado y con interlineado sencillo. Utilice tamaño 8 para las leyendas de las figuras y tablas, índices, subíndices y otros textos subordinados.

El resumen y el abstract se escribirán en itálica y sin sangrado.

El título del trabajo en español debe separase 1 cm del título en inglés y este 1 cm de la filiación de los autores. Entre estos y la palabra resumen debe haber una separación de 2 cm y entre las palabras claves y la palabra abstract una separación de 1 cm. Entre el final del resumen y las palabras claves y entre el final del abstract y las key words debe haber una línea.

Los títulos de cada sección se escribirán en negrita sin sangrado y los de las subsecciones en itálica sin sangrado. En ambos casos se numerarán y se emplearán mayúsculas y minúsculas; solo mayúsculas para la primera letra del título. Se recomienda a los autores tener en cuenta las Normas Internacionales de Nomenclatura, así como los símbolos, unidades y abreviaturas usados internacionalmente. A su vez, las citas y referencias deben seguir los lineamientos establecidos en las Normas APA 7ª edición.

Toda cita debe aparecer como referencia bibliográfica y debe hacerse con el apellido del (los) autor(es) y el año de la publicación, dependiendo si está inmerso en el texto, al comienzo o al final según APA; por ejemplo: al final de la cita (Santander y col., 1996); si está inmerso en el texto: De acuerdo a Santander y col. (1996) …

Las referencias bibliográficas deben aparecer en una sección al final del trabajo; en orden alfabético, justificadas a la izquierda y con sangría francesa, de acuerdo con las normas APA 7:

• Autor(es) en mayúsculas y minúsculas
• Año de publicación
• Título

En caso de revista ha de incluirse, además:

• Nombre de la revista
• Volumen
• Número
• Páginas

En caso de libros ha de incluirse, además:

• Edición
• Editorial
• Lugar de publicación

En caso de sitios Web: se incluye el nombre de la página Web, el nombre del sitio Web, la fecha en que fue colocada la página (si se conoce).

Seguidamente se da ejemplo para las referencias:

Para las figuras, fotografías y gráficos debe usarse la denominación de Fig. y éstas no deben exceder del 50% del contenido total del trabajo.
Las tablas y figuras deberán numerarse consecutivamente con números arábigos distinguiéndolas con su respectiva leyenda en la parte superior si es tabla y en la parte inferior si es figura.

Tanto las figuras como las fotografías deben ser originales, nítidas, bien contrastadas (brillo) de 17.5 cm. de ancho máximo y en formato pdf, jpg o gif.

Todas las ecuaciones deben ir justificadas a la izquierda, en caracteres tamaño 10 y numeradas consecutivamente con números arábigos colocados entre paréntesis en el margen derecho. Los símbolos matemáticos deben ser claros y legibles. Los subíndices y superíndices deben estar correctamente ubicados.

Los artículos se someterán a arbitraje para decidir sobre su publicación. Se enviarán al autor principal tres (3) ejemplares de la revista por artículo publicado.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREPARATIOOF ARTICLES

1 Instructions

1.1 Types of Jobs

• Reviews: that compiles the state of the art of a specific area of Engineering or Applied Sciences with a maximum of ten (10) pages.
• Research Articles: unpublished articles of undoubted contribution in applied sciences and engineering, with a maximum of fifteen (15) pages.
• Technical Notes: contain a contribution of lesser length, with a maximum of three (3) pages.
• Comments: About papers previously published in the journal, with a maximum of one (1) page.

1.2 Style

The works can be written in Spanish or English.

The original article written with the word processor Word 6 or higher, must be sent to celismt@ula.ve with a copy to revecien@ula.ve and revecien@gmail.com

The first page must contain:

• Title of the work in Spanish and English.
• Surname(s) and Name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation (name of the institution, city and country), email.
• Abstract in Spanish and English, with a maximum of three hundred (300) words for unpublished articles and reviews and one hundred and fifty (150) words for technical notes.
• From three (3) to five (5) keywords in Spanish and English.

The paper must be letter size and the top and bottom margins must be 2.5 cm, the interior 2.5 cm and the exterior 1.5 cm, that is, the text area must be 17.59 cm wide by 22.94 cm high.

The pages should not be numbered, the text should be written in a double column (8.54 cm wide per column and 0.5 cm apart between them) and the titles, summary and abstract in a single column.
The article must be written in Times New Roman font size 10 with single spacing.

The title in Spanish and English, centered, in size 18 and using upper and lower case letters. The name and address of the authors in size 10, bold, centered and with single line spacing. Use size 8 for figure and table legends, indices, subscripts, and other subordinate text. The summary and the abstract will be written in italics and without indentation.

The title of the work in Spanish must be separated 1 cm from the title in English and this 1 cm from the affiliation of the authors. Between these and the word summary there must be a separation of 2 cm and between the keywords and the word abstract a separation of 1 cm. Between the end of the abstract and the keywords and between the end of the abstract and the keywords there must be a line.

The titles of each section will be written in bold without indentation and those of the subsections in italics without indentation. In both cases they will be numbered and upper and lower case letters will be used; only capitals for the first letter of the title.

Authors are recommended to take into account the International Nomenclature Standards, as well as the symbols, units and abbreviations used internationally. In turn, citations and references must follow the guidelines established in the APA Standards 7th edition.

Every citation must appear as a bibliographical reference and must be done with the last name of the author(s) and the year of publication, depending on whether it is immersed in the text, at the beginning or at the end according to APA; for example: at the end of the quote (Santander et al., 1996); if it is immersed in the text: According to Santander et al. (nineteen ninety six) …

Bibliographical references must appear in a section at the end of the work; in alphabetical order, justified to the left and with hanging inden-tation, according to APA 7 standards:

• Author(s) in upper and lower case
• Year of publication
• Title

In the case of a magazine, the following must also be included:

• Magazine name
• Volume
• Number
• Pages

In the case of books, the following must also be included:

• Edition
• Editorial
• Publication place

In the case of Web sites: include the name of the Web page, the name of the Web site, the date the page was posted (if known).

For figures, photographs and graphics, the denomination of Fig. must be used and these must not exceed 50% of the total content of the work. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals, distinguishing them with their respective legend at the top if it is a table and at the bottom if it is a figure. Both the figures and the photographs must be original, sharp, well contrasted (brightness) of 17.5 cm. maximum width and in pdf, jpg or gif format.

All equations must be left justified, in size 10 characters and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals placed in parentheses on the right margin. Mathematical symbols must be clear and legible. Subscripts and superscripts must be correctly placed.

The articles will be submitted to arbitration to decide on their publication. Three (3) copies of the journal per article published will be sent to the main author.
