Efectividad de implantes dentales de carga inmediata en rehabilitaciones de dientes anteriores

Introducción: El implante dental es un dispositivo biomédico diseñado para reemplazar una raíz dentaria ausente y proporcionar soporte estructural a la corona protésica. Su integración ósea se logra mediante un proceso de oseointegración, garantizando estabilidad funcional y mecánica. La carga inmediata es una técnica contemporánea en implantología que consiste en la instalación de la prótesis definitiva o provisional en el mismo acto quirúrgico de colocación del implante. Sin embargo, la evidencia científica sobre su tasa de éxito sigue siendo variable, lo que impide considerarla de manera concluyente como la técnica de elección al momento de la intervención quirúrgica. El objetivo de este estudio es determinar la efectividad que presentan los implantes de carga inmediata en rehabilitaciones de dientes anteriores. Metodología: Se realizó una búsqueda sistemática de 31 artículos no mayor a 5 años de publicación por medio de PubMed, Google Académico, Science Direct y BVS. Resultados: De los artículos seleccionados en esta revisión 10 son revisiones sistemáticas, y 21 ensayos clínico. En total se analizaron 873 pacientes con un número de implantes de 2708 en un promedio de durabilidad de 30 meses. Así mismo, factores como la localización influyen sobre el éxito del implante independientemente de la ubicación, la marca del fabricante, el material utilizado y el rango del diámetro siendo entre 3mm – 4mm. Conclusiones: Con base en la evidencia se puede indicar que los implantes dentales de carga inmediata son efectivos ya que tienen una tasa de éxito de 93,04% y no presentan efectos secundarios a largo plazo.
