Una mirada a la formación empresarial para el desarrollo del espíritu emprendedor en las universidades

Resumen

Las universidades están encaminadas a transmitir desde ya, a las futuras generaciones, los conocimientos, los valores y las destrezas necesarias para que promuevan el desarrollo económico del país; de tal forma que el emprendimiento y la educación sean una alianza urgente e ineludible para saldar la deuda que se ha ido acumulando con las generaciones de jóvenes que no han encontrado en los conocimientos que se les transmiten, las herramientas adecuadas para su desarrollo social, académico y laboral. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo proponer, como componente de la carrera de Ingeniería Agrícola del Núcleo Universitario “Rafael Rangel” de la Universidad de los Andes en Trujillo, la cultura del emprendimiento empresarial. La información del estudio fue recogida durante un trabajo de campo, con el fin de indagar acerca de la actitud de los estudiantes de los semestres avanzados, profesores y egresados recién titulados de la carrera de Ingeniería Agrícola sobre la formación empresarial. Los resultados evidencian, por un lado la carencia de formación empresarial del ingeniero agrícola, encontrando debilidades en cuanto a seguridad emocional, perseverancia, optimismo y capacidad de organización y, por el otro, fortalezas en cuanto a la creatividad, autonomía e independencia y necesidad del logro para concebir y desarrollar proyectos. Lo anteriormente señalado, sirve de criterio para sugerir la inserción del componente desarrollo del espíritu emprendedor para la formación empresarial en la carrera de Ingeniería Agrícola de la Universidad de los Andes.

Abstrac
Universities are directed to already transmit, to the future generations, the knowledge, the values and the necessary skills, so that they can promote the economic development of their country; in such a way that the undertaking and the education could be an urgent and inevitable alliance. This would settle down the debt that has been accumulated with generations of young people, who have not found in the knowledge that is given to them, the tools adapted to their social, academic and labor development. The objective of this investigation is to propose the culture of the undertaking entrepreneur as a component of the Agricultural Engineering career at the Nucleo Universitario “Rafael Rangel”, a campus of the Universidad de Los Andes in Trujillo State. The information of the study was collected during a field work; using the survey-like technique and the questionnaire as instrument, with the purpose of investigating about the attitude of the students of the advanced semesters, professors and recent graduated Agricultural Engineering related to enterprise formation for the development of the undertaken spirit. The results demonstrated, on the one hand, the deficiency of enterprise formation of the Agricultural Engineer, finding weaknesses as far as emotional security, determination, optimism and capacity of organization and; on the other hand, strengths such as the creativity, autonomy and independence and necessity of the benefit to conceive and to develop projects. The findings indicated previously served as criterion to suggest the creation of a component of enterprise development to enhance an enterprising spirit in the Agricultural Engineering career at the Universidad de Los Andes.
